Understanding The Language Of The Kingdom Of God

Last week we entitled a message called Understanding in the Kingdom of God and we did say and we said God had a language. From Psalms 19:1-3 

1The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 

So there must be a language and a speech that must be heard and things will begin to happen to you. I said there were certain languages the demons do understand and some they do not understand. There is a language in Heaven they understand and when you say it heaven opens on to you. Today we will tackle the language of thanks giving. There is something that makes the heaven power, powerful and an enjoyable place. There are certain things we do where we gain access and certain things we do we do not gain access. There are certain words when we speak heavens opens to us and certain things they close.  

Psalms 100:4 has this to say “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” So the speech of thanksgiving  entitles you to enter the gates of heaven. So what happens to us when we are not thankful? I want to look at the access point of heaven. You see there are so many things we have but never satisfy. We never say thank you to certain things we have. In fact in Romans 1:20  it tells us unthankfulness closes to us heavens. Romans 1:20-21 “ For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”

What happens to you when you are not thankful? you become vain. You become a murmurer. You murmur at everything. When you are not thankful you become ungrateful; that is the opposite of thankful. And the scriptures say when you are ungrateful you become vain in your understanding. Let me use this demonstration; a ungrateful person has a meal and has a Big Mac and then all of a sudden someone comes to sit next to him/her with a Big Mac and strawberry shake and Chicken nuggets!; then all of a sudden they decide they have something better and they want what they other person has. They have become ungrateful to their Big Mac! The scripture says when they knew God they never thanked him nor glorified him. The Bible says whatever you have you must give thanks unto God. 

When we are walking and we see someone sitting in a car we wish we are in the car. When we are in our 10 year old car we see someone with a newer car and then we want that one as well, and when we get into the new car we get into the plane. We never get to sit down and say Thank You Lord for where you have taken me from and how have you have brought me. The Bible says when you become like that you become imaginative, you become vain in your imagination, always wishing to have what someone else has. The access point of greatness and what you need is not vain in imagination but thankful, when you do that the access opens towards to you. God is able to give to you when you are grateful with little then he can release unto much. The Bible say they  did not even glorify God, they were not grateful nor thankful. God is able to give to you when you are grateful with little then he can release unto you much. Because they were vain their hearts became foolish and your heart becomes darkened and you use all the tricks to get what you are not supposed to get. 

In order to get before the presence before God we need the key of thanks giving or the language of thanks giving. Even when you thank human beings they say thank you and it empowers them to do more; naturally.

Through out the scriptures the Bible says we should be thankful but when I was going through the scriptures I realised there are so many things we are not thankful and that is the reason why we are not happy Psalms 19:2-3 says “.Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.” The language of thanks giving brings the glory releases the glory of God. In Colossians 3:16 “ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God. There is something difficult about thanks giving, in fact the scriptures calls it sacrifice. In Romans 12:1 it has this to say “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

Why is it begging us to to sacrifice our bodies? The word sacrifice means something you give that under any normal circumstances you wouldn’t, often in pain. But the Bible says when we sacrifice to God it is holy and acceptable unto God and he only asks us if it is reasonable within our means. The most difficult part of it is the sacrifice. The reason God is asking us to enter his gates with thanksgiving is because the circumstances around our case does not arouse thanks giving. You don’t have to thank God when you are going through pain but when we thank God in any circumstance God ushers and releases the angels to come to your aid and take you out of your pain  because God realises even in your pain you are giving him glory so how much more when you are in your glory.

Sometimes we want to get there first before we sacrifice to God. That is no more a sacrifice. A Sacrifice is something you cannot naturally do but you need to.  Lets look at Hebrews 13:1-2 “ Let brotherly love continue.2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

And Hebrews 13:14-15 “For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

The Language of thanks giving is the key that causes us to enter the presence of God. You cannot get anything from God without give thanks to God. Jesus was one of the most thankful person. He went before a dead person(in a place called the tomb of Lazarus) and said to God I thank you father for hearing me always . It has not happen yet, He has not been raised from the dead but Jesus already gave thanks. What does this mean? it means it has not done it yet but he has already given thanks for him doing the miracle.  When we murmur and not appreciative; they talk more than you can hear them and faster! Jesus said I thank you. Blessed is the man who has not seen and yet believed. He has not seen the Resurrection of Lazarus but he already knows and there is a key that opens up death of Lazarus and bring him to life and that is thanks giving!

Thank you is the key to open  the glory of God. It opens up a lot of things. When you open the door for you and you say thank you they will want you to open another door. When someone gives you £5 they will want to give you £6. It is natural for a man to say thank you when you give something to them. So when we want to build the house of God we cannot gain access to the materials from God  we do not say thank you. Some of us are expecting big things but yet we do not say thank you for the little we have. “Thank you for the air we breath.” We must align everyday a reason for thanking God. I saw a lady who has a cylinder behind her trolley to breath, should you take it away from her for even five minutes she will be in danger. I know a man know a man  who cannot walk from one place to another without oxygen supporting equipment without it he will die. What takes two minutes  to reach a place and open a door takes him fifteen.  Some of us when we wake up and jump out of the bed and when we are late for the bus we blame God (“oh God”).

David said I will offer unto God thanksgiving and pay vows unto him the most high. The reason why David was exalted was not because he was more handsome or anything else it was because he as always thankful. 

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High

Psalms 50:14

Romans 1:21-23 gives us an example of God giving up people who are not thankful “

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves

First of all it says your imagination is darkened and drawn image of a corruptible man, of birds, four feet animals, birds. 

Its is fearful to fall into the hands of God. When he gives you up you fall into the place like King Nebakanezer went. Has God given us up yet? Why haven’t you got what you want from God? its because you cannot open up the vault. So let us find every reason possible and every cause to give thanks to God

Understanding The Kingdom Of God

Over the last couple of weeks I have been speaking to you about language. Last week we said that everyday has a language and a speech. We looked at Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.”

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Today I want to look at how to respond to the Kingdom of Heaven and God. Last week I said every trade has a language and its voice. Every trade has something to say about its language and in order to understand its trade you need to understand the language of its trade. Musicians have there own language; when they communicate they do so by saying 1,2,3,4 A,B,C, etc to the ordinary ear it sounds funny but to them it is very normal.

Every trade has its own language, every situation has its own language. To understand the language of the kingdom of Heaven you need to understand the language of the kingdom of heaven you need to understand who God is. Jesus said repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand! Jesus came to show us the way and the language of where God dwells in order for us to relate to God. If you do not understand the language of God you will not know who God is. So I would like to discuss the language that is spoken in Heaven and then the reason why this language can be spoken here and how we as Christians can relate to heaven to speak this language and rule the earth.

Shall we look at Daniel 4:26 “And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule.” This about a man called Nebuchadnezzar who was a king but did not recognise there was a God. So God had to teach him a lesson. God had to take him from among the living and put him where the animals dwell. And he was going to teach him certain principles of life and after he taught him he will understand the heaven rule. Lets look at Luke 11:2 “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” so the will of God must be done on earth.”

So in that scripture it says the kingdom of God should be done on Earth, and how can that the kingdom of heaven be done on earth? It is the word that will be ruled on Earth. In Luke 11:20 it says “If I with the finger of God cats out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you”. How did Jesus use the finger of God to cast out demons? He used the word of God. There was a young lad who had a demonic presence in him, Jesus met him and said come out! And there were people who said Jesus was using the power of Beelzebub which means the kingdom of flies. When Jesus heard that he said to them “what are you talking about?” he went on to say if I cast out demons by finger of God then the kingdom of God has come. He was using the language of heaven. Jesus said of himself I cannot do nothing except by what I see and hear what my father hears; therefore if you want to be in me then you should also do what my father does.

I wonder how many people reading this understand the meaning of colonisation? It means to evade a place and establish a rule in that place. Taking the indigenous people of the place captive against their will to establish a rule. The British are known as an expert of this. Great Britain is a small Island in fact is an Island but for several years they were able to stamp a ruler-ship all over the world. So where ever they were able to stamp their authority they call it colonisation. One of the interesting things about the British or countries who colonised other countries is that when they left the shores of the country they left a language is that. Therefore when the King or Queen of England has left that country they are still ruling those people because they can only understand the language of colonial masters. What happens is that when someone colonises you they take your understanding from you, changes your dialect, and the way you understand each other so they can conform to each other. So it doesn’t have to be their establishment, their government will be in the whole country but they will still rule you. It is interesting that Jesus is telling us he wants us to be in the kingdom but that kingdom is not only in heaven but on earth. So God wants to rule us from a state over here (Earth) so that we can dominate on this Earth by the kingdom of heaven. So if we understand this then how do these people rule by countries they do not live?they rule by legislation, and they capture the culture of that country. Jesus is saying repent and believe. And when you repent and believe the kingdom of heaven will come unto you and when the kingdom of heaven comes upon you, you will become an ambassador of heaven.

When you read the book of Corinthians, Paul says we are ambassadors of heaven. Who is an ambassador? It is an representative of a country of another. They are sent to another country to established their culture and understanding. So for example in Africa they have British ambassadors who teach British culture such as language or way of living. So when you are an ambassador of heaven you are suppose to teach the people you have come to meet your language and culture in heaven. So the moment you accept the kingdom they give you the language they speak in the home country. Our home country is not on this earth. Jesus when going away said we are in this world but not of the world. Your ruler-ship your instruction comes from another place called Heaven. So if we want to continue the language of heaven we must understand what it means to be in heaven. Paul says in the book of Colossians you cannot speak the language of heaven if you are not dead your language. That is why when a Colonial master comes they want you to be dead to your language. The reason why we pray in another language it is because it is the language of our home country. Paul says for he that speaks an unknown language speaks not unto men, however in heaven we speak mysteries or secrets.

If we want God’s ruler-ship on Earth we must speak the language of HEAVEN. There are some certain countries that don’t have secrets. They can’t have secrets because that which divide have a language. We will all drift. If a French man came to our Church he will think we are mad. The way we are speaking and the gestures when I am making whilst preaching. That is what happens when we speak the language of HEAVEN. God wants us in order to know for us to know where we are going we should speak the language of heaven. So Paul says although I speak the tongues and angels I am able to understand. To understand the principle of God is when you can speak The first principle of understanding is when you speak the same language and dialect. That is why every parent teaches their children a language to speak. A mother can under a baby when they are crying. When a child is crying no matter how old the baby is she can understand. But when she takes the baby they stop crying. Because the mother understand even in crying what the baby needs. That is why God wants us to understand the language of heaven so when we cry to God in the language of God will understand and give us what we need.

Last week I told you there were some language that offend God those are doubt, fear, and unbelief. There are few things that does not make him happy because in his vocabulary it does not exist. That is why he say fear not. In a a scripture he says fear not because I am with you. So if we want to understand the culture of God then we must allow him to colonise our culture, the way we think. When we become Christians we no longer belong to ourselves we belong to another kingdom. If you belong to another kingdom you don’t behave opposite that kingdom. If I send you I am expecting you to do what I instructed you to do.

Lets look at what Jesus instructed us to do in Mark 16:15 “And he said let us go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16: 16 He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.

One of the language of the kingdom is casting out devils. The word devils are a bit too strong for some people, all it means is to cast out demons or the powers that attack you negatively. Jesus said we will speak new tongues why? So we can cast out demons. You can communicate to heaven. You cannot cast out demons because you have grown in the Lord or because you are smart in your mind or you are handsome/beautiful. There is a language demons understand and do not understand if you speak to it culturally you will not be listened to.

I heard there was a man in Britain from a very long time ago and he decided there should be no serpents in Britain so he casted them out to the sea. That is the power ! When you speak the language of heaven the heaven hear you and the rule in the affairs of men, they rule over hear. So when you speak the language of God he will hear you. He will act upon whatever you say. If you don’t speak the language no matter how you cry scream, gesture the demons will not here. That is not the power of language, it is the power of authority invested in you. When a mother says stop it she does not have to scream before you stop.

I had a grandmother who never spoke to us with her mouth in public. When you were misbehaving something beautiful was going to happen to you back at homr. She would just look at you and when you got home you were in trouble. She would speak with you with her eyes. She would go to public whenever you were misbehaving in public she would find you. I don’t know how but when you get home she will face you eyeball to eyeball how she does it I don’t know. She would speak to you with eyes and say you stop and we would stop. We understood the language of her eyes. We didn’t want the trouble so we just stopped.

The first premise of the language of heaven is the word of God.

If you do not understand consistently look at the dictionary and the definitions and heaven you will understand this. Must of us have missed the language of God therefore earthly people seem to have taken our place and over-ride us. Speak to the word of God in your situation .

When you speak the language of heaven they will respond. When we pray we have a response as Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call on me and I will answer”

Lets kick of preceding by looking at Psalm 19:1-3 and it says

Every day has something thing to say but it takes you to respond to the day, and whatever it says to you, you either embrace it or ignore but whatever attitude you give to the day it gives it back to you. Everyday has a language it speaks. Every trade, occupation has its own language and voice that it speaks. You cannot use the language of the train in the place of daycare. It would not work because when you want to use the train you have to use a ticket. If you want to visit Mc Donald’s you can’t use that train ticket you need money because the language Mc Donald’s understand as far as the food is concerned is money. As far as train is concerned you need to translate the money into what is called ticket before you can board the train. Every word has a language that needs to uttered before a vault can be opened. There is a language of healing, understanding and faith.There is a language that is applicable to every situation but when you have the language of that situation then you can open the door. A code is a language; when you are sent a card by your bank it gives you a language in which you can get your money. That is why everyone of us needs a distinct code to get our money. When I take my wife card unless I know the language I will not be able to get the money and it will say denial because it does not understand the language of that card. Everybody has a code and language and it needs to bet uttered before doors can open for you.

God has a language and it is his word. When you want to speak to God you cannot speak the word of the world he does not understand it. There is a language called the unknown language and it is unknown because the one speaking on Earth does not understand it but to God he understands it, because it is a known language to God and God said when we speak that language he opens the secret door unto you.

There are certain words that offend God. An offence means provocative . When you offend someone you are provoking someone to do something negative As we shall see in James 3:1 -3 “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

3Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.”

If you do not offend you you are able to open. If you put your card in the machine and use an offensive code you have cannot use it. The Bible says If you do not offend in words than you are perfect man. You can be open unto. Do you know doubt offends God? In James it says if any man ask something from God and he is double minded then he should not expect from the Lord. Unbelief also offends God. Lets have a look at Proverbs 18:19-21

19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

20A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

This scriptures means that if you offend a brother then you have closed the door of opportunity because if it offends me I can’t give you what you want. Lets ask who is Jesus? The Bible describes him as our brother, in Isaiah it says “I have revealed yourself unto my brothers and we are for signs and wonders” Jesus says we are his brothers, so if we offend Jesus it is difficult even harder. So if any man does not offend then he is a perfect man. So we must know the kind of language not to offend each other because we want to win brothers not loose them. There are also certain languages that bring healing. Lets look at Proverbs 25:11 “ A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”

I have silver cufflinks which someone gave to me. It is beautiful. There is a gold plating around it and if you are afar you will think hmm what is this? That is what the Bible describes a word it is beautiful. There are certain men who don’t understand languages and some woman are drawn to men by the words they say to them. If they say something wrong then for the whole day, week or month they don’t speak to them. Their mouths and language has betrayed them because of it. A word fitly spoken. When we want to build we need to speak the the language God expects us to speak.

Do you know God responds to language? It is not every word you can get God to attend to. It is not every word you can get God to attend to. That is why we hummer and we endeavour to let everyone speak the word of God. Paul said let the word of God dwell in you richly! When the word is in you poorly then you will misquote. The first person to misquote of heaven was the devil himself. So you need to understand language is important of you want to get ahead in life.

Proverbs 18:20 “ A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” This was what Jesus was talking about when he said the abundance of your heart your mouth does speak. A man is satisfied by the fruit of his mouth and by the increase of his lips. So the language you speak can bring you satisfaction or bring you hunger because the opposite of satisfaction is hungry

In Britain there is a magic word. That is please and thank you. One day I asked one of my sons to get something for me and he stood there and said what’s that magic word? I said give it to me and he said again what’s the magic word. So I said please and he brought it to me. When he brought it to me he said what’s the magic word and I said give it to me. Again he asked me and I said thank you. He needed to have those words in order for me to release it. I said to him you are lucky because of your jurisdiction because in some parts of the world this does not happen. Had we been in Africa I would have said to him you will show me where you will sleep.

A language that will drive us to do the work of God. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue:and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Language is so powerful that Heaven responds to it. There is a heavenly language in 1 Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him;howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” There are languages that open heaven and to our earthly understanding called unknown.

There are languages of angles Do you know I speak the language of angels, I do! And you must also. Why ? because they are to minister to you. The reason why they have not come to service is because we do not speak the language they . And if you do not understand their language how can they serve you ? 1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal . That does not deny me from speaking the language because I speak the language of what men understand. But there are certain languages I speak for you not to speak but for the angels to understand. It says in Hebrews are not the angels that I send to their heirs of salvation. If I am to be ministered to I need to see and understand the thing you are bringing to me.

You see language is beautiful and directional. Examinations are written in languages and you need to understand to unlock the language in which it is spoken in. Examinations means you need to understand the questions to answer it. You need an a language of understanding lack of understanding, lack of understanding of that language means you will not pass that exam. The reason why students don’t pass exam is because they don’t have the language of understanding of unlocking the question to explain themselves. We speak the language of heaven, men, angles, our workplace everywhere has language.

Wrong language can lead you astray to jail. Husbands who use their hands as a language on their wives get strayed in places they don’t want to be. There is a language called compulsion; you need to learn to compose yourself. You need to learn the language of boundary. There is a barrier and you need to have understanding to go over the barrier. You need to have understanding of that barrier in order for you to go ahead in life. The whole world deals with a language marriage, students, parenting even a car. If you do not understand it then you cannot drive it. I am struggling to keep up with certain gadgets because I don’t understand the language. it says you need to export import etc. when did these trade become common?

Language is common but there are certain languages that open and closes. Let us go back and speak the language that will open the vault, let us speak the language that will bring us peace, love and a place of prominence because God has already given us a language and how to use it. Do you use the language of God? If you don’t use it the language of God you can’t use it because the Bible say the spirit is not given to people because they are in the world. The world cannot receive the language of God ,so if you want to use

it step before God and get in the presence of God. How do you use it, you accept Jesus as your Lord saviour because the Bible says nothing was created without God, even the languages.

So I urge you to speak the language of God. Some people are in Church and are still speaking the language of the world. It does not matter where you are because your authority can stand if you speak the proper language. When God speaks the language the whole earth obeys him even though he is not here in person he is here by the power of his word and the power of his spirit.

Everyday has something to say to us and when we agree to the day we wake up to the day and say Thank God, I am ready to face the morning. When God gives you the power to arise from your bed, there is something the day is telling you. A man of God write a book called “Good Morning Holy Spirit”. When he wakes up the first thing he says is Good Morning. Some of us can’t say good morning because we say what is good in the day? Because they can’t find anything good in the day because either definition of good is not what the expect to see.

When you wake up everyday there is something the day is telling you. The Bible say you can be great in the day or be defeated in the day but whatever the day is saying depend son your response of what the day is saying. The day says I am here and you can explore me and have abundance of me ! But sometimes we say what is good about the day? We don’t grab the day and allow is language and voice to be heard in our life. There is something about language that helps us to build what God has called us to do. Do you know if I meet with and say you are ugly, I have uttered a word but that word I have uttered a word can cause you not love me for the rest of your life? At the same time I can say you are a handsome man or beautiful lady and before I know it you are chasing me for the rest of my life! Just like I have been chasing God. What drives is the language and what we hear.

Before I start on the power of building I want to give you a few definition of what language means. I was trying to find it in the dictionary and I did not find it but I what I did find is that it says is that language is social sharing rules. There are things that are governed by language and the say it includes the meaning of words. An example could be when we say the word star ;it could mean celebrity someone people look up to, or a brightness or figure in the air. So when we talk about language we are talking about something that can bring a meaning or share in common.

They also say language can formulate new words. When we talk about God he is a word of a creator . We can go even further and say someone is Godly which means this person serves God; the creator. We can say this person is ungodly which means that this person does not love the person who created the heavens and the earth; so this is a language that we speak to make sense of our social life. It also means to put words together or combine what a situation brings. I also went to look at what speech because when we are building words to make meaning you need to find word words to define situations . The dictionary told me that speech is the verbal meaning of communication. It said speech has three forms 1) articulation, a can articulate wrong things but because of my confidence you won’t see that I am running away from the truth. Articulation is made up of sound. It is said that children must lean who to pronounce the word R. If they do not learn how to pronounce the word R if they do not learn how to pronounce it then instead of saying Rabbit they will say ‘Wabbit’. Sometimes when I hear children say ‘Wabbit’ I realise they did not learn how to pronounce R.

So we need to learn the proper meaning of words in order to make meaning of words. 2) speech is your voice also known as the voice therapy. If I speak to my daughter and I am angry with her my voice changes so she know I am not happy. If I want to sound lovely and she thinks hmm I can get something from this man! 3) Reading; my children say to me it looks like whenever Africans are angry they stammer because whenever I am angry with them s stammer. In Africa my cane would do the talking but in Britain it is my voice that would have to rattle ! I all shows in my language whether a person is happy, sad or angry. Because of this we need to understand how to build because when we are building by words we need to understand how to build and how to build by words and how to understand the heartbeat of words. Your heartbeat comes with your reading. When I am angry my reading changes. When I am sad my mood changes., my voice determines for you to know this man is happy or angry.

What does that have to do with building. When we want to build there is something called the unity of language. There is power in agreement and there is effectiveness in language. When our language is effective we can build properly. If our language is not effective and our communication is not effect we cannot build properly.

Genesis 10:32 – 11 :7 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

 6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.

And when the day of Pentecostal was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Whenever we want to build with one same language and one same speech. That is the power if building. It is not what you bring but it is the power of what you build. The Bible says in all your getting, get understanding because when you get understanding you are more than 80% through to success. If your Church will understand and speak the same thing and same focus God will bless you because God business is to bless his people. He does not bless people who do not have understanding you cannot bring the material and the proportion to the building. The people in that scripture were not set up to build for the purpose of God they were building to have themselves a name. And God said no it is not about your name! The building is not about your name but about the glory of God so the Bible says in the subsequent verses God said no lets us change their understand. When God changes your understanding you can’t build any more. The Lord came down to see the the tower which the children were building. The children were of one The only time Gods definition of one changes is when it says a man shall leave his home and cleave to his wife, and two of them shall be one. But said these people are one. He had to dismantle the grammar.

God says when you are one nothing can restrain you. Nothing can stop you or put brakes on you. When a man and wife are one at home nothing stops them, not even their children. When God came down in anger it was the first time since Adam had disobeyed in the garden of Eden. The scripture says let us confound their language that they may not understand each other speech.

On Sunday I did an experiment with the congregation where I spoke my 1^st language and the idea was to see who could follow the instruction what I said. I said “if anybody understands a particular language from Africa they should stand up” to which those who could understand stood up. Those who had not, had there been a fire would have been dead because they were confounded in their language. I then said to them everyone be on your feet and everyone was up on their feet, why? Because they were all of the same language and the same speech.

You will see that language can unite us and can divide us. And in the same vein when God wanted people to build for him they had to come to then in the same language. One day God divided the Earth and confounded people with language so they cannot understand each other. The Bible says when Jesus died and rose again and he said I will give you the power to overcome the word. He said you I have called once, The Ecclesias; the Church . When the Church is out of the world there are certain the world cannot understand . But when God wanted to bring the Church together he had to bring us closer by the things he was saying.

Acts 2:1-8 “1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?”

These people were drawn together to people who spoke their language. They were Greek, English etc but they were all drawn together by language. The thing that brought them together was not colour of their skin, their dresses or how they looked in the beauty in the eye, but by the power of the words they how how to speak to each other. When we understand each other we build with confidence. The scripture says the came because they heard them. In verse 7 it says they were all amazed because not all of them were Galilaeans? This reminds of something that happened to me years ago

We were looking after a sick boy and one day we had a knock on the door. A white woman from Scotland and the moment she knocked the door she spoke in our language. she said in the language “Good Morning, I have been sent to get a blood sample of the blood from the boy we were looking after”. When she said that I went back a bit because this was like a Gods coming! This was the first time I had heard a white woman speak my language without an excuse. If I went to a village in my own country and wanted the blood I would have used the language a White person would understand. This woman came with the pure language. She said that she was raised in Ghana and had lived there for thirty years. Imagine if I was in the tube and I wanted her to barge and I had insulted her!

I heard when I first came to Britain that there were some Ghanaian’s who went in a tube and a white old lady sitting there and she was not barging. They insulted her in our language saying she was a witch. The old lady expressed her surprise and disappointment by saying “What have I done to you I am not a witch?” The Ghanaian were so spooked they got off the next stop even though it was not their stop!

That is the power of language. You can go at the power of his command. God has a language and when we understand the language of God we will receive things from God. The Bible says day on to day utter speech night after night makes language. Sometimes we don’t speak the language of God we don’t speak the language God understands that is why we have not received certain things from God. If the word is bread and you are saying biscuit and you are saying bread how can you expect bread? You can’t receive bread. So we need to find the language when we want to build for God not only for ourselves but for our family and our future. God has a language and God is ready to give unto us the things that we speak concerning him. There is power in the language of God and when we speak to this language God will come through because God intention is to bless us.

Experiencing The Power Of The Resurrection

Thanks again for checking to read our blog. It has been quite a week for Upper Room Church. We had our Easter weekend programme Experiencing The Power Of The Resurrection which coincided with our 4^th Anniversary. The speaker for the Sunday was Pastor Victor Darteh who I have known for over 20 years. If you want to see how powerful last Sunday was check this link. Lets start off from where it all began; from Genesis; 1:27

“27So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.30And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day”

In that scripture it explains the reason why you and I can have dominion over any demonic activity. That’s why if I say in the name of Jesus I bound the attack of the enemy it shall be bound! From this scripture I realise that this gives you and I a mission to carry. God created man in his image and created them male and female; so I understand that he created me and put me in a male body or he created a female and maybe put her in a male body, but it does not change the fact that we are all men even though we might have different bodies. He made man and created them in different bodies, so the bodies you see is not the man that I am. The body you see has a man in that body and the man in this body is the real me. The man in this body has been made in the likeness and image of God. The man that I am has the image and reflection of the Lord and I have the likeness and the ability to do what God can do.

The man in this body can do all that God can do. When Jesus Christ came in Matthew chapter 4 he said man shall not live by bread alone (food) but every word that proceed out of our mouths. The man we have made must live out of every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the living God, so if you do not feed that man with the word of the Lord you will realise that you are void of life. If I want to fulfil my mandate to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish, to subdue and have dominion, I need the life given spirit from the Lord to enable me the man to accomplish what my mandate is.

If I take myself out of the position of feeding on what the man is I will not be able to accomplish my life destiny or assignment. I must make sure that the word the proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord I begin to feed from it , how can you do that? By obeying the word of the Lord. The Bible says God told man that there are particular trees that if you eat from it you will DIE! Man disobeyed the voice the word that proceed out of the mouth of the Lord and obeyed another voice. Pastor Victor said that he was praying and the lord was telling him the voice you obey you take on the image of that person. And God said the day you shall eat of this tree you shall die. That means the life the proceeds out of his presence will be cut off. The body or the male will still be around walking but the man walking but the man walking is disconnected from life. Because the life of the God is connected from the man the will not be fruitful but instead it will take the image from the voice he has listened.

The Bible says the devil has come to kill steal and destroy. So the moment I disobeyed the voice of the Lord I have in actual fact I have listened to the voice of the enemy. And now the image, likeness is what I am exhibit. Man heard the voice of the Lord in the garden and he was afraid and tried to hide from the presence of the Lord. The Lord called out Adam! Which means (red) Earth. Adam said he heard his voice and he was afraid because he was naked. However the Bible says the Lord has not given us the spirit of fear so he wanted to know who gave him the spirit of fear. The Lord wanted to know who gave Adam that fear because he had obeyed another voice and they are now exhibiting another image and voice. My Bible says God has given us boldness, sound mind and we are of the tribe of the lion of Judea and we need to be as bold as a lion because we are the righteousness of God. But the moment Adam heard and obeyed another voice of another the fear and image came on him. God said who told you were naked? I made you in my image and crowned you in my glory. I made you in my image and have you authority. By my power you were able to name all the animals and you never repeated yourself, WHO TOLD YOU, YOU WERE NAKED VOID OF MY GLORY! Even the angels are aware of the glory I bestowed on you, it says what is man that you are mindful and the son of man you visit and you even visit that you lowered yourself. Who told you, you were naked? Most people are listening to the voice of the enemy.

We are in state situations or circumstances where we are not able to reflect the glory, we are not able live in the height God has ordained for us. The Bible says for this reason or this purpose the son of man was made manifest to destroy the works of the enemy. The effects of that sin in our lives Jesus had to come up, show forth for us to step up in resurrection. Resurrection simply means to rise up again. The body and soul coming alive or being connected by the spirit again. Resurrection mean you were dead but now you can live again. Resurrection means the supernatural power of the Lord comes on you and what was dead comes to live in you again. For this reason the son of man was made manifest to destroy the works of the enemy and resurrect you from the dead. That is why I can prosper, that is why I can be healed, that is why I can subdue and multiply and why I am not afraid of anything and why I can dominate anything that creeps or flows or lives on the face of the Earth, because I am in the resurrection of the Lord. Once I was dead but now I am in the Lord . For this reason the son of man came so we can have life more abundantly. I love what the Lord Jesus says when he said the spirit of the Lord is upon me and has anointed me to preach the good news. He has made me to tell the good story, that the person who was captive is no longer captive. The guy who was blind is no longer blind or maybe not blind physically to the promises of the Lord and the level of authority he or she can walk in does not have to blind any more because I have come set the captives free walk. I am the resurrection and the life, I have come for those who have low estimation of themselves he has come to lift up their heads so there is no reason to feel bad about yourself.

You must know Jesus who is the lifter of your head has come to work on your insecurities and make you what you have ordained and purposed for you. Let us make man in our own image and let this man be fruitful and let this man multiply. So I must understand if I want to step in the resurrection power of this lord I must step in this I must meet a man called Jesus. For this reason the son of man is made manifest so if I want to resurrect or come alive and and begin to do what God ordained me to do I must meet Jesus. Sometimes we get confused with Church and Jesus. The two are not the same. We can come here and play Church and come and have church. You can come to Church and have a routine and move with the spirit . Jesus is someone all of us must encounter because when you do you fall in love with Jesus, maybe not Church but with Jesus. So I must learn to obey his word because I am, careful about the effect of my image and likeness. I must be careful to obey his word and maintain my image and likeness. I must be careful to obey his word and obey his image and likeness. I like what Job said in Job 23:12 when he says “ 12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.”

I have esteemed his words more necessary than my food or my rice and peas! Because when I eat the food I am feeding the male, but I must feed the man and the words that comes out of his lips will feed the man and it is the man that will bring success to your life. It is the man that will make you powerful and prosperous and if the man in you is not make you prosper then I can assure you the body will also not make you prosperous. When man obeyed the enemy his image was changed. So now your thinking is affect the Bible calls it wicked thinking, which is twisted mindset thinking; you hear and read the word but it means nothing to you. You hear the word and you want to go the opposite way because the image is twisted. And the reason for JESUS CHRIST is to repair that image and when that image is repaired you become fruitful. The issue my not be demons or even your mother ! But how the man is feeding in this body. So when you begin to allow the Lord to repair the man you will become fruitful, you will begin to multiply, you begin to replenish and dominate, subdue and dominate. The demons are scared of a resurrected man . Jesus was the fist born of the day which means the second borns are also there are other following and I want to be one of them. When I allow Jesus to resurrect me the enemy cannot limit me.

You know the story of Mary and Martha? They had a brother called Lazarus who had an issue and died. They were waiting for Jesus to come and they know the resurrection would bring healing to Lazarus back to life. They said to Jesus if he had come three days earlier they would have come back to life and now his in the grave and he is even stinking! So Jesus had wasted their time. Jesus however responded didn’t I tell you I am the resurrection and the life! They said to him he did but when we did on a particular day we shall resurrect and have eternal life, but he said no if you are alive and believe even though you were dead even though you are disconnected from the life of God but if we believe on the name of Jesus Christ we shall live again and be resurrected again. So there is hope. If you believe I am the resurrection and the life your brother will live again. Not another day but right here and right now.

I realised that there are two resurrections one in this life and the other in the next. And I must be resurrected now and when I put this male body down he will put this male body down he will resurrect this male body down he will resurrect it again in this life. If you believe you shall live now. They said to him he was stinking… its been fopur days … but he said roll the stone away! I pray that any limitation or stone that stops you from coming from the dead or being resurrect today because you must do it today. I command the stone to be rolled away!

The Lord did not roll that stone away he asked men to do it which means you must roll that stone away. I understand by scriptures that the first Adam was a living soul but the last Adam is a quickening spirit . He comes in and quickens. I understand from the scriptures that if the spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in him then that lives in me then that spirit will quicken my mortal body. The last Adam is a quickening spirit and it he to quicken your body. I pray you step in that anointing and every aspect will come alive in the name of Jesus! The first Adam was a living soul but the last is quickening spirit but the last does not mess about he comes and quickens and if the same spirit lives in me then my body will quicken. I am going to step in fruitfulness and in am going to multiply and dominate. I refuse to allow my surroundings to subdue me and I would rather subdue them and dominate.

Paul realised that and said I might know him and the power of his resurrection I don’t only want to know his power but that quickening spirit that is attached to him so that I might be resurrected as well and I might live again and begin to be fruitful powerful and dominate him so that I might know him and the power of his resurrection. I want to be conformed to his image not to the other image but to his image. I am not ashamed to go through his suffering, because even though he slain me and I am going to trust him and if he chastises me it is for me good and I also know if his love for me will not cause him to destroy me. So I need his resurrection power and conform I am ready to suffer with him because I know I will reign with him. Its not about another breakthrough or miracle I want to know him and the power of his resurrection. When I get to know him and his quickening spirit his miracles will flow.

Pastor Victor shared a testimony where he explained that when they decided to start a ministry they decided the would not buy a place until they get a place for a Church first; so they decided re mortgaged their place and invested in the Church. Unfortunately they had to move from the place so in the eyes of the natural they have lost they place. However they understood anything you do for the Lord is an investment. They bought where they are living now and their value of their house went down however after three years they had a letter from a mortgage company that if they are ready to pay of the existing mortgage they would pay off a percentage of the mortgage. If they found another lender they would write a percentage off. After six months of ignoring the letter they received the bank write again and would you believe they write £100,000 off the mortgage. The reason I mentioned this is because we don’t peruse miracles but the Lord.

The Bible says on the first day of the week the disciples went to check if Jesus was still there. When they went there the stone had been rolled away. The same stone that had been rolled away in the case of Lazarus, in Jesus case it was an angel.

Power Of Experience Part 2

Experience is very important and vital in our lives. There are certain experiences that make us bold. And I have come to believe that if you come to experience the Lord Jesus Christ then you will become bold. The Bible says the righteous are as bold as a lion. Following from last week I want to look at another facet of experience that will help us to make the journey of life and our Christian life, because the journey of life is meaningless without the Christian life. 

Exodus 6:1-2 “ 1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”

2God also said to Moses, “I am the LORD.3I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty,[a]but by my name the LORD[b]I did not make myself fully known to them.4I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners.5Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.

In verse 2 God tells Moses he is the Lord, what is a lord?; in Britain when you want to buy a property you ask the occupant in the house if he is the land LORD is an owner of a property. The Lord Jehovah was telling Moses “ I AM THE LORD. God said to Moses my name Jehovah they didn’t know but I have established a covenant to them, to give unto them because my name Jehovah (means Lord) and I own the land. He said he would them the land of Canaan; the land of their pilgrimage wherein they were foreigners. When God spoke to Moses he had already spoken to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; but they could not have that land because at the time God was speaking with them they were dead. He could not give something to the dead, so he wanted to make sure he tells the children of Israel I have established a covenant already with your fathers were strangers on I want to give the land to you. The Lord was telling Moses that he owned the Land. The land belonged to me, his fathers knew him as God Almighty, (the one he can do what is impossible.) But because they did not know him they could not posses the land. If you don’t have experience with God you will not know him.

The word known is very important to the word experience. Experience bring certain things into bear. When you read Genesis 4; Adam knew his wife and conceived. Adam and his wife had certain experiences and out of that experience brought fruitfulness. When you know somebody then there are two things that happen to the experience either negative or fruitful experience. They did not know he was Lord but that day he wanted to reveal himself as the owner of the land and that is why he could give that land to them. I realised that when Jesus was on the face of the Earth there is one name he did not refute and that was father. When someone called him father he said to them “why are you calling me father?”. But throughout scripture people called him Lord, because in the book of John chapter 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2He was with God in the beginning.3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. When they called Jesus Lord he accepted it because the people know it is an experience. The woman who came to him and demanding for her child to be healed and said Lord if it is thy will let him be healed, and he said let your son be healed because I own healing!

When you own healing you cannot be in the place where the disease is controlling the people because you and I are the owner of healing. Knowing God is an experience and when you know God your behaviour changes towards the things of God. John 17: 1-5 is the prayer of Jesus for his people ; “ After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:

Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.4I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.5And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

When you know Jesus that he was sent by God and he is the Lord of all flesh you cannot stand in the power of disease, power, or stay in the power poverty or shame, you must always come above poverty, shame and the power of the devil. It was for this reason that the son of God was manifest and will destroy the power of the devil. He is the lord over the devil.

The devil has never been called lord. The biggest title that was given to him is prince; he said the prince of the Earth is coming and has no power over me. Who is a prince ? It is a child of the Lord, the prince is not the father, the prince is the son but Jesus is the Lord, and therefore the devil cannot be above Jesus. He is always under Jesus and we have Jesus in us and that is why the Bible says he has no dominion over us. You don’t have the experience that is why you think the devil is above you and when they mention things like witches and wizards get scared. Anything you do not know sin breaks you down.

Acts 19: 13- 17 “ 13Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.”14Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.15One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”16Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.”

Paul had an experience. The evil demons had an experience when the girl was given their master money in perhaps chapter 16, he said come out ! And the master saw they had lost a lot of money. This led them to report Paul and Silas and arrest them and put them in prison. That was an experience|!. Back to the scripture the evil demon said I have had an encounter with Paul and it was not a good one so I am not going to mess up with these guys. The demons said Pal I know, Jesus I know, BUT ! Who are you ?

The next experience was quite interesting for the seven guys . One man who had possession of the evil spirit jumped on the seven sons of Seva, a priest, a man of God …and they ran naked! Sons of a man of a priest, the devil does not care if you are a son of a priest they only care about you. Demons must be able to say to you I know you just like the did about Paul and Jesus. They did not know the seven sons. That is an experience. When you know Jesus there are certain things that will not happen and I think our experience has not caught up with our knowledge… or our knowledge has not caught up with our experience. So we seem think that this Jesus only seems to work when we come to Church. No ! It is about experiencing this Jesus.

When we know Jesus and we experience the power of Jesus things that happen to us are always good. There was a guy called Saul who had been threatening the Church and he had an experience with Jesus and his eye was open to the glory of God. Then he was to see the king; King Agrippa. He was a notorious man who knows all the custom and Jewish traditions look at what he says in Acts 26:24- 32 At this point Festus interrupted Paul’s defence. “You are out of your mind, Paul!” he shouted. “Your great learning is driving you insane.”

25“I am not insane, most excellent Festus,” Paul replied. “What I am saying is true and reasonable.26The king is familiar with these things, and I can speak freely to him. I am convinced that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner.27King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you do.”Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?”29Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”

30The king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them.31After they left the room, they began saying to one another, “This man is not doing anything that deserves death or imprisonment.”

32Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

Festus and Agrippa thought Paul was mad because were in the same company as Paul and Festus believed his mind was “screwed up ”. Paul speech was different and when you have an experience they way you talk is different. Agrippa knew this thing that Paul was talking about was no secret. He was involved in killing Jesus. Paul knew he was aware of this experience. Agrippa said to Paul he was ALMOST persuaded to become a Christian. He was almost persuade to confess what had been saying privately in public but because of the clan he was involved in he did not want to.

If you have an experience no one can stop you from saying it! Nothing can stop you from saying the truth because nothing can stop nothing can stop you from saying the truth. The truth of experience will take you above yourself. God wants us to know him, the only true God and his son Jesus Christ. When we confess him and put him under his authority and governance things begin to be different. Sometimes we say we believe like King Agrippa; why could he not say you persuaded me become a Christian. Sometimes some of the things we have been doing make us to say that as well.

My prayer for you is that we will not only be persuaded to a Christian but persuade to be CHRISTIANS. Lets look at 1 Timothy 3 :16 “ Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh andwas vindicated by the Spirit,[d]was seen by angels,was preached among the nations,was believed on in the world,was taken up in glory.

Jesus came from God and he became flesh and he dwell among us. And angels ministered to him and preached to he gentiles ; who are non unbelievers, they preached the word of God and they believed. I hope you believe that God came into the flesh and dwell among us. If you believe they will not be any controversy in your life because your experience will be a better experience and God will always bless you.

If you do not believe in Jesus this is your opportunity. Say this prayer and say “Father, I need an experience. I need to know you. Open my understanding that I will know you. I thank you for accepting me because you died and rose again and you made me your own and I am willing to be yours forever.”
